Are you passionate about creating nutritious meals for children? We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a beloved child care center known for our commitment to quality early childhood education, we prioritize providing healthy and delicious meals to support the growth and development of our young learners.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in meal preparation under the guidance of our Head Chef.
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed.
  • Help with cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Support in inventory management and stock rotation.
  • Collaborate with the team to create menus that cater to children’s nutritional needs and preferences.
  • Assist in serving meals to children and staff.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of food safety guidelines (e.g., ServSafe certification) is a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for cooking and providing nutritious meals.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Must pass a background check.
